Forest Monsters - With Stunning Illustrations

At 20, Emma Hamilton is not technically a child. However, she's drawn such beautiful illustrations that it just feels wrong not to let her join in. Beautiful, no?

Forest Monsters

Surprisingly gentle creatures, forest monsters live off moss and other forest dwelling algae and fungi. They rely on debris from the forest to camouflage their large bodies. Their skin is hard and bark-like in some places and their scent distinctly earthy, they go largely undetected by humans. Birds are known to reside inside the branches that get tangled in their mossy hair. Friends to all in the forest they watch over each resident, from the foxes to the deer, the owls to the mice.
In the winter, just before the snow begins to fall and all of the leaves have left the trees, the forest monsters wander to the valley and find the warmest cave to sleep in. There they rest until springtime, woken by the songs of new baby birds.
