In order to understand The Tubster of Terror, you first need to know about Count Crocular, the monster from which the Tubster species was created.
Count CrocularAnd now, for the even more wacky (if that's possible) Tubster of Terror;
Meet Count Crocular: he is 14 metres high with the strength of 201 elephants!
He is hypnotic, crazy and has a strange magnetic pull... If you catch his smell it could result in instant Death, - it is that repulsive!
His home is in Australia and he can live to 1,000,000. Aliens are his main weakness... Also styrofoam!
Count crocular's arms are like tenticles, eyes are like the sea and his hair is as bright and hot as fire.
He likes to eat snot filled pies, and snake soup...!
He doesn't like dragon fruit and rotten vegetables though... Yuk!
Count Crocular has some secret, special abilities too... shhhhhhhh... He can hypnotise people and make them forget who they are (if his smell doesn't kill them of course) And he can move things with his huge brain.

The Tubster of TerrorWhy do I love this combo?
This creature was created when a scientist injected a hamster with DNA from the monster Count Crocular. The animal mutated and turned into a mad, tentacle-armed Hamster of Terror.
Size
The size of the species is 10 to 20 centimetres tall and 5
– 10 cm wide!
Strengths & Weaknesses
The Tubster of Terror is only afraid of one thing, puppies. Strange huh, well it has the strength of 101 men and isn’t afraid of anything apart from puppies.
Smell and Other Facts
The hamster changes smell depending on how it feels and sometimes it’s so smelly it can cause death! As soon as you enter its mouth you’ll start to feel sick, that’s because you’re dying. The only thing that it got from the DNA, other than the madness, is tentacle arms. They stretch out and wraparound its prey and suffocate it like a boa constrictor. It eats anything!

Firstly, Count Crocular is a great name. I conjures up the image of a vampire crocodile before I even start reading the details. As if that's not bad enough, he's got arms like tentacles and has the strength of 201 elephants.
It's the little, obscure details that make Count Crocular really awesome. For example, why 201 not 200? Random! A fear of styrofoam it also very quirky.
As for snot-filled pies. I like things that make the reader go 'Ugh!' and then giggle, rather than 'Ugh!' followed by horrified screaming, which is exactly what snot pies made me do.
Onto the Tubster of Terror.
Creating an entire monster species from the DNA of a classmate's character, injected into a hamster, is inspired. Already there's a backstory in the making.
The fact that the hideous Count Crocular was crossed with a hamster is brilliant, because a 14-metre-high monster and a small, flurry rodent are very, very different.
I'm going to edit the Tubster of Terror ever so slightly, and change the description so that Tubsters like snot pies and are afraid of styrofoam, like the monster it was created from. This is because randomness is interesting and funny.
The Tubster of Terror will be among the monster species you'll get to choose from next week, when deciding what we're going to write about.
